I have launched a UK version of Earlymiser.com. Right now it's only hitting one webservice but you can take a look at it at Earlymiser.co.uk  but I have been sitting on it for nearly a year now.

January 3, 2007
For a lot of die hard gamers they only recieved coal in the their stockings for Christmas. The hottest game console of the season, the Playstation 3, was even more elusive than that old elf St. Nick. The console was nowhere to be found. So to bring some cheer to after the holidays Earlymiser.com is giving away a 60 GB Playstation 3 to start the new year.

Earlymiser.com, the worlds first meta shopping comparison engine is giving away one of the hottest game systems. Earlymiser.com will be giving away away a 60 GB Playstation 3 for customers who sign up at the site by Thursday January 25, 2007. The winner will be announced on the site on January 26 and the winner will recieve the system by next day Saturday service (where available).

"To enter the contest, you just need to link to earlymiser.com with from your blog, myspace profile or other website. Then simply register at earlymiser.comFor those people without a web site, simply set up a feed of your favorite products. You will be entered to win the 6o GB Playstation 3" explained Earlymiser founder Brian DeSpain.

"All you need to do is register a new account and provide a link back to us from your MySpace profile or a link from your blog or web site. If you don't have a blog or myspace profile, that's fine just set up a custom feed devoted to your favorite products. After you register and have set up your link, simply email brian@earlymiser.net with the subject "Playstation 3" and the location of your feed or link and you are entered into the contest" continued DeSpain.

"The Playstation 3 is one of the hardest to find game consoles on the planet. And we are giving one."

Earlymiser.com is a meta shopping comparison engine base ond the web services APIs of Shopping.com, Amazon, Amazon Marketplace, Ebay and Yahoo Shopping. As such it offers widest selection of stores and sellers on the Internet. Users can select which APIs they wish the site to poll from so that users can select the shopping engines they want to use.

Please note the Playstation 3 offer is subject to rules and regulations. One entry per household, must be a legal resident of the United States. Please see the site for additional details. Earlymiser.com is a Thalasar Ventures website.

Thalasar Ventures has officially beta launched Early Miser - Save Early, Save Often. Early Miser is a product oriented shopping comparison engine that allows users to tag products, group them into feeds, set a pricing trigger to let you know when a product has reached a certain discount.

Early Miser is a meta shopping comparison service based on the Amazon Ecommerce Service, Yahoo Shopping, Shopping.com and Ebay. Early Miser isn't a simple meta shopping comparison engine either. "We have added a number of features that actually make online shopping easier," noted founder of Thalasar Ventures, Brian DeSpain, "These features include social networking components such as custom product feeds, RSS feeds, pricing triggers and pricing history."

"Let's take a look how adding a product RSS feed can make shopping easier. Every single product has an individual RSS feed. This means you can effectively moniter prices from every shopping channel we have a product. So you don't even need to create an account to take advantage of our service. You can simply add the RSS feed of a product you are interested in monitering into your RSS reader or bloglines. The feed will be updated when the price for that product is updated on any of the sites - Amazon, Shopping.com, Ebay or Yahoo Shopping," continued DeSpain.

"Custom feeds allow you to create a group of products you are interested in. For example I have gathered my regular office supplies for my home based office into a feed I have labeled Office Supplies. I have tagged the feed with HP3015, HP1320, toner, cartridge, paper, and refills. Tagging the feed helps me remember naturally what the feed was about. Additionally I can write notes about each individual custom feed I have set up in the notes field in custom feed management.

"Pricing triggers allow you to have a feed updated when a specific pricing condition is reached for a any of the products in that custom feed. For example let's say you want to be notified when your product has reached 10% below the trailing seven day average. By setting a pricing trigger in the feed management section of the site the RSS feed associated with your custom feed will be updated when any of the providers you have selected are updated with a price at or below your pricing trigger."

"We are looking at this as a beta launch of the web site. We have included pricing history in the site meaning a pricing trigger is based on historical averages stored locally. We look forward to our users helping us guide our next set of releases for the site such as our short messaging service which will offer price comparison via SMS," concluded Despain.

Early Miser can be found on the web at http://www.earlymiser.com.
