| I was able to charge my Samsung u550 phone and to transfer music onto it pretty easily. I downloaded the Verizon software for the music, and had no issues synching my phone using the cable to my machine running Vista. It's a much better deal than buying the equivalent branded cable from Samsung or Verizon, but you have to do a tiny bit more work because it doesn't come with the Verizon software, so you have to go find it at Verizon's site (it's free). If you have even a tiny bit of do-it-yourself in you, this is a great way to save some money. I can't say that it works perfectly with every phone and OS (it sounds like some people didn't have luck with it), but with my particular phone/software combo it was a breeze. |

| I was VERY skeptical about this cable 'cuz I'd already bought one that didn't work a couple of years ago, but I HAD to get some pictures off of my Samsung P207. I decided for $10, I'd give it another shot. To all of those who said "...it's just a charging cable..." - chances are you didn't scan all of the COM ports in the software suite. I did things in this order: 1). Download appropriate software from vendor's site (my case - Samsung), 2). Install all software that was downloaded, 3.) Hook up phone and use Windows installer to install USB driver (included in package from seller) for the cable, 4.) Start software suite and use the "Setup" option to change from COM1 to COMx. Mine didn't work 'till I hit COM6. I realize I'm more of a computer nerd than most, but IMHO - if you're buying this cable and software - you should know more than the average user in the first place. Awesome product - thanks! |

| I bought this cable for a Samsung U520. It does not recognize the phone, I finally found and downloaded the driver for my phone, but it still does not list it in the software as stated in the ad. I find it useless to do anything with the data on my phone. Instead, I bought a 1 gb MicroSD card with a MicroSD card reader, and I can easily put music, pics and videos on the card and play them on my phone. The purchase of this cable was useless. The only thing it DOES do is charge the phone when plugged into the USB. That's why I gave it 1 star. Don't waste your money. If you're wanting it to put music on your phone, and your phone has the card slot, go with the card and the card reader. That is just too simple |

| I bought this cable/software to transfer pictures from my C417. The software does not include my phone as stated in the description. I played with this for a while. Unlike the other review, I did not wait to see if the cable charged the phone. I am not happy. Maybe I missed something here or maybe I was not shipped the correct cable/software or maybe I just spent $10 for nothing! |
