It's slippery, slippery stuff this silicone. This non-porous FDA approved substance resists temperature extremes like nobody's business. It promotes even cooking and quick cooling while resisting stains and odors. Fold it for easy storage. Use on a standard non-insulated baking sheet or tray.

I use this mat Mostly for rolling out pastry dough. The pie chart sizing is a great help; I am able to transfer directly from the mat to the pie plate. I read a number of complaints about the mat being too sticky. It was a little Sticky on my first couple of uses, but after a few washings it is now working well. It is easy to clean, and I would recommend this product to a friend.

I use mine for rolling out pastry and pie dough, and it works well for that. I've never used it as a baking surface; I prefer a pan, clay tiles, or parchment paper for that.
It's a little difficult to wash, mostly because my sink is on the smaller side.
Also, the description says it's made in the U.S., which is not the case. |

(in my opinion) I cook quite well, but am not as good at baking, particularly when it comes to rolling anything out. I know it takes practice, but this mat has increased my confidence and enthusiams because it really works. Sticks to the counter to prevent sliding but food items don't stick to it. This item is versatile and easy to clean and takes up little storage space. I love the fact that it's marked for sizes. Truly, buy this item, you won't be disappointed.

I am very pleased with my silicone mat. I purchased it mainly for kneading bread dough - the dough hardly sticks to it at all, so I'm able to use less flour for a more tender bread. It washes off easily, too. I don't have any problem with it not staying in place on my counter while kneading dough, and also don't think it is flimsy. Thin, yes, but not flimsy. It is well made and durable.

This mat is wonderful for kneading bread! Large enough, non stick and non skid on the counter. Easy to clean and easy to store. I hope it lasts forever!
