| I bought this as an extra to take with me when making pies elsewhere. It wouldn't be my choice for the one to use often because I want a heavier marble for best results. This simple maple rolling pin is certainly adequate and economical. Would be fine for those who just want to get the pastry rolled out this time but don't bake often. It rolls smoothly. Far superior to using a 2-liter bottle of pop or similar substitute. |

| This rolling pin had worked well for me. I use it to roll out empanada dough. It's a little more difficult to roll this kind of dough than, say, cookie dough. I have to press pretty hard to get the dough thin enough, and this rolling pin seems to be able to stand up to it. It's far better than my previous method of using an empty wine bottle to roll my dough. |
